He is the creator and founder of UKA UKA Racing Team.
Manager with a huge passion for sailing, Lorenzo Santini has a spontaneous attraction for the sea, which always influenced his life, until he decided to compete at a competitive level. Santini was already active on a variety of race courses (in the Beneteau 25 and Mumm 30 classes) when in 2007 met Federico Michetti: hence began the series of brilliant successes in the Melges 24 and Melges 32 classes. Santini is an active member of the team on board, where he plays the role of the pitman with great determination.

Lorenzo Bressani is one of the most successful Italian sailors in the world. Genuine talent, he has to his credit eight world titles in six different classes (Melges 24, Melges 32, IMS, Maxi, J 24 and ILC 25), seven European titles (including the Farr 40, Melges 24 and IMS) and thirteen Italian titles (among others, in classes 470, Melges 24, Platu 25, Mumm 30 and IMS).
"Rufo" (his nickname) easily passes from the role of helmsman to the tactician one, but his instinct and his technique are at their best when he is at the helm.
In Melges 24 and Melges 32 classes his talent is enhanced and in a few years he wrested the scepter of the specialty to the Americans, who have always been the rulers of these classes (as well as the founders). At the helm of UKA UKA Racing, since 2008 he won two world titles (Porto Cervo 2008, Sardinia and Tallinn 2010, Estonia), one European title (Hyères 2009, France) and one Italian title (Cagliari 2009, Sardinia). In 2010 he dominated the World Cup Melges 32 in San Francisco, California.
The "certification" of its value has been recognized by the ISAF, which in 2010 selected him (an extremely rare case among Italian people) as a finalist for the ISAF Rolex Sailor of the Year.

Jonathan McKee is one of the American sailors who have written some of the most important chapters in the history of this sport. In 1984 Jonathan was on the roof of the world in Los Angeles, when he won the Olympic gold on the Flying Dutchman. A few years later, with his brother Charlie, he also won a bronze medal in the 49er Class for Sydney 2000, Australia. With the Flying Dutchman, 49er and Tasar he won the world titles. In the Melges 24 Jonathan won two World Cups in 2005 with James Spithill and in 2010, as tactician of UKA UKA Racing.
Versatile sailor, Jonathan has considerable experience in IMOCA 60, Volvo 70, Mini Transat and Maxi.
In addition to several victories in national and international titles in different classes, his list is supplemented by participation in two America's Cup campaigns: with One World Challenge in 2003 and with Luna Rossa Challenge in 2007.

Federico Michetti is the "engine" of UKA UKA Racing. “Freddy” is a very sociable person. He is the team manager, the man who forms relationships, plans and manages activities. He is a Melges 24 specialist and won his first world title in 2000 with the unforgettable George Zuccoli, and then in 2008 and 2010. In this class he also won three European titles (2003, 2005 and 2009) and an American Championship (2004). In Melges 32 Class, he won the World 2010 in San Francisco aboard UKA UKA Racing and the American title in 2007.
During his career he won two European titles Farr 40 and the European title J 24.

"Fabietto" is the tightrope walker of the team. Indeed when he is at the bow is the author of all the delicate UKA UKA Racing maneuvers, often made in extreme conditions, with waves that flooded the bow and make it extremely unstable surface on which to move. Born in Abruzzo, Fabio shared much of the success of UKA UKA Racing.
